This policy explains how the MYA mobile app (“the app”), provided by Mardan Youth’s Academy (“MYA”, “we”, “us”), handles your information. MYA is the data controller. The app is used by MYA students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

Who this app is for

MYA is an internal school app. You sign in with an account issued by the school (MYA Keychain). It shows each user only their own records, or — for staff — the records they are authorised to manage. The app is not directed at the general public and is not used to create accounts for children independently of the school; accounts are provisioned by MYA.

What we collect and why

We only process data needed to run the app. We do not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing history, and we do not use any third-party advertising or tracking.

All network traffic uses encrypted HTTPS (TLS).

How we use your data

Strictly to provide app functionality: showing your records, keeping you signed in, delivering announcements, and fixing crashes. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across other apps or websites.

Sharing

We do not share personal data with third parties for their own purposes. The only processor involved is our crash-reporting provider (Sentry), which receives diagnostic logs scrubbed of personal information solely so we can fix bugs.

Data retention and deletion

• The on-device cache is cleared automatically when you sign out.
• You can request account deletion in the app: open the Account tab and tap Request account deletion. An administrator then deactivates your login and purges your push tokens.
• Academic records (attendance, results, fees) are retained by the school as part of its educational and legal record-keeping, independent of the app.

Children’s privacy

The app is used by school students, including minors, under the school’s authority and its relationship with families. Accounts are created and managed by the school, not by children on their own. We collect no more data than is needed to provide school services, and we never use children’s data for advertising or tracking.

Security

Sign-in tokens are stored in the device’s hardware-backed secure storage (iOS Keychain). Network connections are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). School records are cached only in the app’s private storage, not in any shared or world-readable location.

Your choices

• Sign out at any time to clear the on-device cache.
• Request account deletion from the Account tab.
• Manage notification permission in the iOS Settings app.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
